Patent Law

supporting innovation throughout and beyond California's Inland Empire

About us

We Are About Innovation

Nelson Patent Law is a patent law firm. We provide value by seeking patent protection for your inventions. We love to see "big" ideas and we understand the attention and energy required to make these ideas real. We'd like to be your trusted advisor, so you can focus on being creative.

A Modern Mobile Law Practice

We are a modern practice and employ some of the most advanced tools available to serve our clients. These tools provide mobility to engage our clients in-person and encryption to secure electronic communications and stored data.

We have no fancy office spaces, but we do enjoy interacting with our clients and believe clear and direct communication reduces hassle and expense.

Patent Applications

We can help you identify and prioritize patentable inventions within your products and services. We perform "prior art" searches to help determine invention novelty. We draft patent applications (provisional and/or non-provisional) and file these applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Patent Prosecution

Patent applications only become patents after a patent examiner reviews the claimed invention. During this interactive process (patent prosecution), an invention's claims are typically narrowed. We help protect the value of claims by seeking support within the application and the law.

Portfolio Management & Strategy

Patent portfolios may be used to develop licensing revenue, attract acquisition interest and reduce threats from market adversaries. We can help you tailor a patent portfolio strategy to support the goals of your organization.
